At the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Control the Department of Computer Design Automation is one of the main graduating departments.

The Department of Computer Design Automation trains experts in the specialty “Specialized Computer Systems and networks”

Scientific Directions :

• Computer systems and networks design and diagnostics;
• Mathematical and machine modeling of digital devices and subsystems of computer systems and networks;
• Testable automated design and means of specialized microprocessorsystems adjustment;
• Intelligent information technologies for automation process of the computer systems and networks diagnosing.

International Collaboration :

The scientists of the Department support close contacts in the field of science and education with the leading universities and firms of the world. In the field of digital systems design collaboration with such countries as USA, England, France, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Russia, Israel, Estonia, Italy, Bulgaria was established.

The employees of the Department constantly participate in the scientific conferences of different level. The scientists of the Department are developing two pilot projects for digital systems testing for the American company Aldec Inc., the leader in the computing technique design on a global scale. The first project is integrated into САПР Active-HDL-5.1 - 6.2. The second one is oriented to verification of digital systems which are reconfigured with a complexity up to 10 mln equivalent gates. Not only employees and post-graduates of the Department participate in the projects but a large group of students of many specialties taught at the University.

Professorial and Teaching Staff :

36 employees work at the Department, among them there are: 5 Doctors of Sciences, 6 Professors, 10 Candidates of Sciences (Ph.D.) and Assistant Professors, 15 post-graduates and Scientific Workers.
