Department of Foreign Languages makes part of the Faculty of Radio
Engineering
The Department ensures training in English, German and French for the
students of the full-time and correspondence forms of training for all specialties taught at the
University.
Realization of such aspects of professional activity as an appropriate
introduction to new foreign technologies, discoveries and tendencies in development of science and
technology, establishment of links with foreign companies and enterprises rises professional level
and competence of an expert. Studying foreign languages the students master the rules of reading,
grammatical and lexical minima, general education and terminological vocabulary in specialties
taught at the University. The students gain skills in the work with the specialized literature to
obtain information (this assumes possession of habits of learning, surveying and familiarizing
reading) as well as skills in annotating, reviewing, writing plans, summaries and speaking
language.
The Department disposes of the video-class and multimedia lecture-hall for
14 working places. The multimedia lecture-hall makes it possible to perform:
Self-training of students and teachers;
Training under the teacher’s supervision;
Realize a work in group.
