The Faculty of “Telecommunication and Measurement Techniques” includes itself a profile department of “Metrology and Measurement Techniques” (MMT).
Department MMT graduates the bachelors and masters in the specific professions:
-
“Metrology and Measurement Techniques”,
-
“Quality, standardization and certification”,
-
“Metrology and information measuring technology”,
-
“Metrology, standardization and certification".
Scientific directions:
-
Modeling and design of measuring devices.
-
Methods for processing of radio measurements.
-
Methods and tools for measurement of the signals energy parameters and transmission lines parameters in the microwave.
-
Design and implementation techniques for improving of the M-type devices efficiency.
-
Develop methods and tools for measurement and controlling of energy parameters.
International collaboration:
The department has close scientific and educational contacts with leading (main) universities in the field of theoretical and practical metrology in the next countries: Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Russia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic.
Employes of the department regularly take part in scientific conferences of different levels (in 2010 – Poland, Bulgaria).
The foreign missions have been made in recent years by:
- Prof. Ruzhentsev I.V.(2005, 2007, 2009, .- Bulgaria);
- Prof. Zakharov, I.P. (2005-2010 years. - Bulgaria, Poland).
The department is included in (provides) the scientific projects:
- The project INTAS (Belarus, Russia, Germany);
- The project INTAS (Belarus, Russia, Bulgaria, Greece, Ukraine);
- UNTC Project (Ukraine).
During the last period the department held:
- National Science and Technology Workshop on Measurement Uncertainty (May 2004);
- 6th International Scientific Workshop on Estimation of Measurement Results (May 2004);
- International Conference on Metrology and Measurement Techniques during the International Forum of Radio Electronics (September 2005, October 2007).
For delivering the open lectures were involved:
- Prof. K. Vogel (Germany, Braunschweig);
- Prof. Radev H. (Sofia);
- Prof. Kochsiek V. (Germany);
- Prof. Gorski I. (Czech Republic).
Since 2004, the Department carries out (conducts) final rounds of Ukrainian Student Competition on Metrology and Measurement Techniques each year.
The Software Certification Laboratory accredited by the in UkrSEPRO operates at the MMT department.
Teaching staff of MMT department:
There are 35 staff, including: 2 PhD’s, 3 professors, 11 associate professors and PhD’s, 7 graduated students and researchers.
The department has offices in SRC “Institute of Metrology” and GP “Kharkovstandartmetrologiya”, that includes 5 winners of the State Prize of Ukraine, from which 3 doctors of sciences, professors and 5 PhD, assistant professors.
