Department of Radio Engineering Fundamentals is the leading one in training experts for Bachelor’s, Specialist’s and Master’s Degrees in the following specialties:
• Radio Engineering (RE).
• Systems of Information Protection against Non-Authorized Access (SIPNA).

Scientific Directions:
Development of radio electronic devices and methods of data transmission, acquisition and protection; wireless power transmission for development of fundamental and applied researches in the field of microwave technique and antennae, radar, time and frequency synchronization systems, satellite navigation, Space exploration and the Earth atmospheric researches

International Collaboration:
Within the framework of the international collaboration the Department acts in several directions: the Department has signed an agreement with the Institute of Metrology of Leipzig University. This agreement envisages a number of measures concerning educational and scientific activity of the Department teachers and the students of RE specialty, the distance learning being among them. Employees of the Department publish their scientific work in the foreign scientific magazines, participate in performance of the international projects. Employees of the Department actively work on in the field of investigation into the standards of the European higher education which make it possible to new methods of teaching in RE, to establish contacts for new international exchange.

Scientific Subdivisions of the Department:
1. Scientific Educational Center of REF KNURE includes the Balakliya research testing grounds and four research scientific and training laboratories (STL):
? STL "Information Security Systems" - Chief scientist – Prof. Oleinikov A.M.;
? STL "Information Measuring Systems" - Chief scientist – Prof. Koval Yu. A.;
? STL "Radio Astronomy, Geophysics and Distance Sounding" – Chief scientist – Prof. Voloshchyuk Yu. I.;
? STL "Antenna Theory and Technique" – Chief scientist Prof. Luchaninov A.I.
2. The Balakliya Research Testing Grounds (BRTG) of KNURE is used for scientific investigations and students’ educational practice and has the status of National Property.
