The  Computer Software Department  at the Computer Sciences Faculty graduates experts for Bachelor’s, Specialist’s and Master’s Degrees in the specialty “Software Engineering” (SE).

Scientific Directions:
1. Virtual Representation of the University in the System of Distance Learning.
2. Development of Methods, Algorithms, Software, Mathematical Support for Designing Intelligent Systems for Processing Audio, Video Signals, Natural Language and Analytical Information.
3. Development of Models, Methodology of Designing and Realization of Information-Analytical Decision-Making Systems.
4. Knowledge Extraction from the Text Data Bases and Realization of Intelligence Interface.
5. Development of Concepts, Methods and Models of Distance Learning under Conditions of Multilevel System of Education in Ukraine.
6. Development of Methods, Models, Algorithms of Context Data Processing in Heterogeneous Large-Scale Distributed Data Sources.

International Collaboration:
The Department carries out the work in several directions in the frameworks of the international collaboration. The Department has signed the agreement with the Faculty of Organizational Sciences of Belgrade University (Serbia and Montenegro) which envisages a number of measures in educational and scientific activity of the teachers at the Department and the students gaining knowledge in SE specialty including the distance learning.
The employees of the Department have also published their scientific works abroad, the Department takes an active part in carrying out international projects.
The employees of the Department actively work in the field of European Higher Education Standards which make it possible to introduce new methods and standards of education into SE maintain close contacts for new international exchanges.
