The Department of Physics realizes fundamental training of experts for Bachelor’s Degrees in
all directions taught at the University.
Administratively the Department makes a part of the Faculty of Electronic
Apparatus
Scientific Directions:
Thermal methods of non-destructive control and thermography;
Physics of laser crystals;
Computer simulation of physical processes.
Scientific developments of the Department gained recognition in Ukraine and beyond is borders,
they are used both in industry (nondestructive control of industrial products quality), and in
educational process (computerized educational-methodic materials for performance of laboratory
works, testing etc.).
International collaboration:
The Department supports close relations in the field of thermal control with the leading
enterprises of Russian Federation, collaboration agreements in the field of physics of laser
crystals were concluded with scientific centers of France, Serbia, Japan and Russian
Federation.
Professorial and Teaching Staff
16 teachers work at the Department, among them there are: 2 Doctors of Sciences, 3 Professors,
9 Candidates of Sciences (Ph. D.) and Assistant-Professors.
Subjects:
The course of general physics adapted for every of 11 directions is taught at the University
when training experts for the Bachelor’s Degree.
