The Educational television laboratory, founded in 2000 ye., consists of the video recording
studio and equipment room with a nonlinear editing station and other devices for the completed
cycle of video production.
The station provides processing composite, as well as component signals, allows usage of
some hundreds video effects with the possibility of new effects creation, fulfils 2-D effects with
a perspective (compressing, magnifying, indentation, etc.), creates 3-D effects with the cards of a
live video on animated objects defined by a customer (geometrical figures, articles, objects) in a
real time. The studio includes the latest decisions in digital processing audio and video signals,
as well as computer technologies of editing video materials. Its premises are characterized with a
quality acoustic cover and modern design.
The Educational television laboratory has a very qualified staff including a producer, video
operators and video engineers. They take an active part in providing students lab experiments and
creative activities.
Objectives of the laboratory:
- strengthening the educational basis;
- creation of educational and documental video films;
- service in a sphere of video production and complicated TV systems development.
The research topic of the laboratory: “Development of image compression
and recognition algorithms in a real time scale”.
Directions of students researches and creative activities:
- creation of multimedia;
- development of virtual TV studios;
- processing TV images and creation of video clips for multimedia interactive
trainers.
