Professorial and Teaching Staff:
15 employees work at the Department, among them there are: 4 Doctor of
Sciences, 6 Professors, 11 Candidates of Sciences and Assistant-Professors, 5 post-graduates and
scientific researchers.
Teachers of the Department of Higher Mathematics carry out educational
work at all faculties of the University.
Scientific Directions:
-Development of the
nonstationary electrodynamics theory;
-Creation of the
algorithm for Helmholtz equation boundary value problem solution;
-Markov processes
theory;
-Mathematical
simulation of the carbon exchange processes in the organism;
-Research into
mathematical education methods.
International Collaboration:
Teachers of the Department take part in the work of international
scientific conferences. The Department collaborates with the University of Nottingham (England).
The work on the international projects is financed by the funds of the Royal Society, EPSRC &
NATO Reintegration Grant.
