Center of Correspondence Studies (CCS)
The Center of Correspondence Studies is a structural unit of the University that organises and
controls academic and methodological work in training specialists of all base courses and majors of
a correspondence mode of studies.
Course duration and mode of studies:
Education, which students get, can be both state funded (for those courses that have admission
quotas funded by the state) and financed by an individual or legal person.
For the Bachelor’s Degree the course lasts:
4 years 5 months – studying from the first year and following the curriculum with a fixed course
duration;
3 years 5 months – studying from the first year and following the curriculum with a reduced
course duration (for junior specialists);
3 years 5 months or 2 years 5 months – studying from the second or third year respectively
when junior specialists are enrolled on the 2nd or 3rd year and follow the curriculum with a fixed
course duration.
After getting the Bachelor’s Degree students can continue their studies (1year 5 months) and
gain the Specialist’s Degree.

- 6.050102 - Computer Engineering;
- 6.050103 - Software Engineering;
- 6.050201 - System Engineering;
- 6.050202 - Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies;
- 6.050802 - Electronic Devices and Systems;
- 6.050901 - Radio Engineering;
- 6.050902 - Radio Electronic Devices;
- 6.050903 - Telecommunications;
- 6.051501 - Printing and Publishing;
- 6.170102 - Systems of Technical Information Security.
Students can do these and all other university courses for the Specialist’s Degree at an
individual or legal person’s expense.
Place of studies:
Prospective students are free to choose the place where to study – at the head University or in
its separate structural units – scientific and advisory centres (SAC), which are located in such
cities: Antratsyt, Artemivsk, Donetsk, Kryvyi Rih, Aleksandria, Simpheropol.
Course duration for SAC-based studies (contract-based) – 2-3 years with a future transfer to the
head university for a distance or correspondence mode of studies.
SAC-based studies have a number of advantages:
- no need to spend money on transport and accomodation in Kharkiv;
- teachers come to a SAC for exam and laboratory periods and giving lectures, carry out
consultations using Internet technologies;
- the head University gives access to its e-library and other e-resources;
- tuition fees are equal for the head university and SACs.
