concerning necessity of preparation of masters on the speciality

The uniform National Communication network of Ukraine is the most advanced system of the general using in the industrial and scientific and technical relation in our country. The considerable quantity of national operators and telecommunications agencies working in Ukraine (Ukrtelecom, Veltontelecom, Kyivstar, MTC, Beeline, Life and others). A lot of these organizations and business - structures needs experts in telecommunication systems and networks functions.

The Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics (KNURE) - a higher educational institution of IV level of accreditation on an extent spends 8th years preparation of masters on a speciality 8.092401"Telecommunication systems and networks». For the last three years at University 134 masters on a speciality 8.092401"Telecommunication systems and networks» which part continues the training in postgraduate study and doctoral studies are prepared. 48 from them after protection candidate and theses for a doctor's degree work as teachers on chair office of telecommunication systems and other chairs. Graduates work at scientifically research institutes, research-and-production associations, national operators and on telecommunications agencies.

At the organisation of preparation of masters the complete set of necessary standard documents, in particular the educational-qualification characteristic, the professional-educational program and the curriculum of preparation of masters on a speciality 8.092401"Telecommunication systems and networks» is developed. By working out of the educational-qualification characteristic professional problems of masters which answer a modern condition of development of the Uniform National Communication system of Ukraine and region requirements are defined, levels of knowledge and the abilities necessary for the decision of such problems are generated. From year to year curricula of preparation of masters on the basis of modern achievements in sphere of telecommunication and information technologies are corrected.

For the last 5 years on the chair office TKS by results of research works for preparation of masters new courses are developed: «Multipurpose Systems of Access to Communication Networks», «Methodology of Scientific Researches», «Switching and Routeing Systems», «Control Systems of Transport Networks», «The Special Course of the Head», «Algorithms of Management and Adaptation in ТКS». Lesson are teach on the basis of the equipment and software packages of companies Cisco, Microsoft, Intel, Iskratel, Sіеmens, Samsung, Ericsson, Alcatel.

Material and technical basis “Telecommunication systems and networks” is provided both for the account Universitys material base, and at the expense of partners and sponsors of the chair office TKS. For the last 5th years the chair office TKS material and technical basis is updated approximately on 100 %.

Throughout the given period with a number of the Ukrainian and international organisations agreements on cooperation, joint preparation and refresher courses of engineer and masters on a speciality 8.092401"Telecommunication systems and networks” are signed. As a result of such cooperation on the chair office TKS it was possible to organise and introduce following research both scientifically-educational centres and laboratories:

• the Kharkov State Regional Scientific and Technical Centre Concerning Technical Protection of the Information;
• Regional branch of International academy Cisco and the scientifically-educational centre of networks of following generation NGN with application of the newest multimedia technologies and on-line testings;
• the scientifically-educational centre switching and networks of access on the basis of workstations Si-2000, Si-3000 and the corresponding equipment the company "Monis";
• domestic and foreign manufacturers of the equipment of wire and wireless access (IEEE 802.15, 802.11b, n, 802.16), the teleconferencing equipment;
• the scientifically-educational centre mobile and a satellite communication together with operators «Kyivstar», MTS, Astelyt, equipped with three base stations DCS-1800, NMT-450, GSM-900 and Scipe with use of channels of a satellite communication for access to satellite and mobile Internet;
• together with firms "Samsung", «D-Link», "Rekom-Ks" corresponding scientifically-educational laboratories are opened;
• two centres of the international certification: Thomson that Prometric Pirson VUE;
• scientifically-educational laboratory of networks of following generations (NGN) with equipment use (new generation of means telecommynications automatic telephone exchange: Si200, Si-3000, DGT-3450, Samsung iDCS 500, OfficeServ 500, OfficeServ 12, Compact 11, NX380, Macrotel MT360, DSLAM: ADSL2+over POTS, ADSL over ISDN, SHDSL, sluices NGN: VoiceGateway (VGW), MediaGateway (MGW), Cisco ATA186, Ольха10, abonent modems, program components, IP phones and measuring complexes (Sunset MTT) leading manufacturers (Cisco, Samsung, Ericsson, Siemens, Intel, D-link, Sunrise and others.);
• scientifically-educational laboratory of systems of access to networks of new generations (NGN) with use of the equipment program switchboard (SoftSwitch) with support of standards of alarm system SIP, H.323 and MEGACO, - the switchboard of an Ethernet-network, fibre-optical access FTTH Ethernet of type E-P2P, ADSL2 +, POTS, SMG, mBAN, IPTV (STB), the terminal of videoconference Aethra Vega X3, MGW companies Iskratel-Monis, virtual automatic telephone exchange on a basis ON Asterisk and sluice Е1 Cronyx TAU32.

The chair office TKS for preparation of masters has possibility to use in educational process modern technologies and the equipment of the basic scientifically-educational centers and laboratories.

Computer class of chair (auditorium 301а). As a part of a class 12 modern PC with a configuration: CPU Intel s775 Core-2 Quad Q9550 (2,83GHz, 1333 MHz) on the basis of chipset Intel® P35, HDD 500 GB, nVidia GeForce 8600 GT 256 Mb. Besides, in this class there pass laboratory works on operating breadboard models on discipline «Computer facilities and microprocessors» and «Hardware-software supply of communication systems». Computers and videocameras are used at carrying out of laboratory employment in differense disciplines which are connected with mathematical modelling of structural and functional features telecommunications systems. Individual researches and mathematical modelling by masters, post-graduate students also are carried out in a class.

Laboratory of systems of transfer (auditorium 301). As a part of laboratory - 12 modern PC with a configuration: CPU Intel s775 Core-2 Quad Q9550 (2,83GHz, 1333 MHz) on the basis of chipset Intel® P35, HDD 500 GB, nVidia GeForce 8600 GT 256 Mb includes analogue and digital systems of transfer, breadboard models and modules for researches of separate processes in transfer systems, computers and controllers for automation of processes of measurements. In laboratory розмещена equipment PDH, SDH and measuring complexes Sunset MTT.

Laboratory of systems of access (auditorium 305). As a part of laboratory 6 PC with a configuration: CPU Intel s775 Core-2 Quad Q9550 (2,83GHz, 1333 MHz) on the basis of chipset Intel® P35, HDD 500 GB, nVidia GeForce 8600 GT 256 Mb., a communication system of new generation Si-3000 as a part of modules:
- Program switchboard (SoftSwitch) with support of standards of alarm system SIP, H.323 and MEGACO;
- The Ethernet-network switchboard;
- Fibre-optical access FTTH Ethernet of type E-P2P;
- ADSL2 +;
- Analogue ports TMZK (POTS);
- Alarm and media of sluices (SMG).

Multiplexers of broadband access (mBAN):
- mBAN ADSL2 +;
- mBAN SHDSL (2 pieces);
- subscriber station IPTV (STB);

Software and hardware complex of virtual automatic telephone exchange on a basis ON

The laboratory of the centre of academy Cisco (auditorium 306) includes PC on the basis of processors Intel Pentium 5 - 14 units that of the equipment of distribution of the information:
• Routers with support IPv6 and Ethernet, Frame Relay, and ISDN technologies Cisco: 1760, 1841, 2801 і 2811;
• Switchboards of Ethernet-network Cisco: 2950, 2960, 3560, 3750;
• Шлюзи IP-phone і ї on the basis of routers Cisco 2811 with PRI interface;
• 802.11b, g, 802.11n - wireless access equipment: Cisco 1230, 1310; Linksys WRT160N;
• VoIP - users IP-phones Cisco7960;
• the Equipment of protection of the information (Firewall Cisco PIX-515);
• Videocameras and the terminal equipment of a video conferencing.

Preparation and retraining of experts in direction «Telecommunication» is provided in academy Cisco with possibility of delivery of the international certificates after 5 directions (bases of information technologies - IT Essentials, the expert in construction of networks - CCNA, information safety - NS, wireless networks - FWL, CCNP).

Teaching in academy Cisco is carried out in Russian, Ukrainian and English languages with use of the newest multimedia technologies and on-line testings.

Laboratory D-Link (auditorium 308) includes PC on the basis of processors Intel Pentium 5 - 8 units, the equipment of networks, systems of new generation of the firm with the same name and information protection (Firewall Cisco PIX-515).

Laboratory of networks of following generation and switching system (auditorium 310) PC on the basis of processors Intel Pentium 5 8 units, it is equipped by stations and elements of wire access on the basis of workstation Si-2000 of type AS320 which co-operates with systems of switching of channels and packages: DGT-3450, Samsung iDCS 500, OfficeServ 500, OfficeServ 12, Compact 11, NX380, Macrotel MT360, DSLAM: ADSL2+over POTS, ADSL over ISDN, SHDSL, sluices NGN: VoiceGateway (VGW), MediaGateway (MGW).

As a part of the automatic telephone exchange equipment modules with interfaces are included:
- Analogue ports of a telephone system of the general using;
- ISDN - BRI
- ISDN - PRI
- VoIP H.323
- Vocal mail and autooperators.

Ethernet-network switchboards, the equipment of systems of a video conferencing and IP-TV are included the program switchboard (SoftSwitch) c by support of standards of alarm system SIP and H.323.

Laboratory of mobile systems and a satellite communication (auditorium 374) PC on the basis of processors Intel Pentium 5 - 11 units with use of radio base stations (NMT-450, GSM-900, DCS-1800, GPRS, EDGE), a hardware-software complex for research of Fresnel zone, radio relay systems of transfer Мini-Link (Е-23, Ericcson) and means of user's access (МІМО, Skype and others), terminal WiMAX through which access in Internet is provided, access equipment to satellite Internet, satellite TV and communication, 2 parabolic aerials with systems of remote control, the reception terminal of a satellite communication system where complex laboratory works on disciplines «Satellite and radio relay systems of transfer» are fulfilled, «TV and broadcasting Systems» and others.

Laboratory of fiber-optical systems (auditorium 368). PC on the basis of processors Intel Pentium 5 - 4 units. With access to main fragment fiber-optic communication line Joint-Stock Company "Kyivstar" on the basis of transport network SDH and modern breadboard models for researches of parametres еффективности and qualities of analogue and digital fiber-optical systems of transfer.

Laboratory of lines of transfer (auditorium 25z) includes PC on the basis of processors Intel Pentium 6 - 4 units, the equipment of “last mile” and the user's fixed access of networks of the general using.

Laboratory of radio relay lines of transfer (auditorium 21z) includes ПЭВМ on the basis of processors Intel Pentium 5 4 units, radio relay systems of transfer (Курс-8), breadboard models for researches of separate processes in radio relay systems of transfer, controllers for automation of processes of measurement and the modern equipment.

Updating, and an additional equipment of the educational centres of chair TKS is carried out for the account:
- The sponsor's help of operators and manufacturers of the equipment of telecommunications;
- he own economic activities on profound preparation of students, listeners and retraining of experts, carrying out of research and design works;
- Unuversitys material base.

All laboratories of chair TKS united in a local network with access in Internet which has no analogues in HIGH SCHOOLS of Ukraine.

Material support and personnel structure of chair allow to spend preparation of masters on a speciality 8.092401" Telecommunication systems and networks» at level of the state requirements. The analysis ринка work has shown, that the requirement for experts is steady on the nearest the year and makes 80-100 persons every year, including taking into account preparation of foreign citizens.

Graduates-masters of a speciality 8.092401"Telecommunication systems and networks» can work in the organisations and at the enterprises where solve the technological, organizational-administrative, research, designing and other problems connected with new technologies and generations of the telecommunication equipment and services, as working out of methods of modern management by business processes, standards, recommendations, procedures, reports in a direction of maintenance of efficiency, quality, reliability of functioning of the equipment and services, protection of the information, scientifically-methodical and pedagogical work in educational institutions 1-4 levels of accreditation, etc.

Considering modernisation and development tendencies телекомуникационных systems and networks of new generations on platforms NGN/IMS connected with introduction of services of broadband access (3G - 4G) on the Uniform national communication network of Ukraine which provide requirements of region and all state, the university asks State accreditation commission to increase the licensed volume of preparation of masters on a speciality 8.092401"Telecommunication systems and networks” with 30 to 100 persons of the day form of training, including taking into account preparation of foreign citizens.

The Kharkov national university of radio electronics guarantees performance of licence conditions of preparation of masters on a speciality 8.092401"Telecommunication systems and networks”.
